Privacy policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
Short version: your kids' ages stay on your device, we keep as little as we can, and we never sell or share your information.
Your kids' ages stay on your device
When you add your kids, their birth month and year (and any nickname) are saved in your browser's local storage on that device. Without an account they are never sent to us. Nicknames never leave your device, and the site never collects information from children.
Your saved list, summer plan and home ZIP code are also kept in your browser. A share link contains listing ids, nothing about your family.
If you sign in
An account is optional; everything on the site works without one. If you sign in with your email (an emailed link, no password), we store your email address and, so they show up on your other devices: each child's birth month and year (no names or nicknames), your home ZIP code and search distance, your saved list and your summer plan. You can delete your account at any time on the Your account page; that removes all of it from our servers.
Weekly email and reminders
- We store your email address, the age ranges you pick (like "6–8"), the areas you pick, and which emails and reminders you want. No names, no birthdays.
- Sign-up is double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link.
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Managing preferences works through emailed links; there are no passwords.
- Emails are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service. We don't use tracking pixels to profile you.
- We never sell, rent or share subscriber lists. Sponsors get placement, never lists.
Problem reports and messages
If you report a problem with a listing, we store the report and, only if you give it, your email so we can reply. If you ask a provider for information through the site, we pass your message and email to that provider only.
Analytics and cookies
We don't run third-party ads or trackers, and the site sets no cookies. We count page views from the standard access logs our content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront) keeps for every website request: no cookies, no tracking across other sites. Those logs include IP addresses, so they are deleted after 30 days, and IP addresses are never stored in our database; we keep only totals such as views per page and per day.
Where data is kept
Subscriber data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States and protected with access controls. We keep it while you're subscribed. After you unsubscribe we keep only your address and the unsubscribe record so we never email you again by mistake. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after a few days.
Your choices
You can change or stop emails anytime from any email, or ask us to delete your information by writing to hello@lineupdmv.com. To clear your kids' ages and saved list, use "Clear all" in the "Your kids" panel or clear this site's data in your browser.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we'll say so in the weekly email before it takes effect.
